Read Psalm 52:8
Take a moment to reflect on the mercy of God.
His mercy is tender. With gentleness and compassion, He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds. He not only gives mercy, but gives it in the most loving way.
His mercy is great. Like God Himself, His mercy is infinite and beyond measure. It covers great sins, forgives great sinners, and after long years of rebellion, still offers great blessings and eternal joy in heaven.
His mercy is undeserved. We could never earn it. Justice would have condemned us, but mercy stepped in. Our rescue is not because of our worthiness, but because of God’s love.
His mercy is rich. It is not empty or weak—it strengthens the weary, comforts the hurting, lifts the broken, and carries us when we can no longer walk.
His mercy is manifold. Each mercy is not just one blessing, but a cluster of blessings woven together.
His mercy is abounding. Millions have received it, yet it is never depleted. It is always fresh, always full, and always free.
His mercy is unfailing. It stays with us in temptation to keep us from falling, in troubles to keep us from sinking, in life to give us joy, and in death to be our eternal comfort. Truly, God’s mercy never ends.
Prayer
Merciful Father, thank You for Your tender, great, undeserved, rich, abounding, and unfailing mercy. Without it, I would be lost, but through it, I find healing, forgiveness, and hope. Teach me never to take Your mercy for granted, but to live each day in gratitude and humility. Let Your mercy flow through me to others, so they too may see the greatness of Your love.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
