Read I Thessalonians 2:18
From the moment good and evil first clashed, one thing has remained true—Satan works to hinder God’s people. He attacks from every direction, at all times—whether in the early morning or the dead of night.
If we are planting seeds for God’s kingdom, he tries to break our tools. If we are building something for the Lord, he tries to knock it down. He resists us when we’re first coming to Jesus, and even after we’re saved, he tries to slow our spiritual growth. Often, he attacks the very area where we are strongest—testing our faith, tempting our patience, or pushing us to react in the flesh.
He also hinders our prayers, weakening our faith so that we may miss the blessing. And when God’s people begin working together in ministry or revival, Satan stirs up opposition—just as Sanballat and Tobiah tried to stop Nehemiah from rebuilding the walls.
But here’s the good news: if Satan is working hard to stop us, it’s a sign that we’re on the right side and doing God’s work. With the Lord’s strength, we can overcome his schemes and walk in victory.
Satan’s opposition is proof you’re making an impact—don’t give up, press on in God’s power.
