When God Is All We Need

In heaven, no one depends on earthly things for happiness or survival. They don’t need clothes that wear out, medicine for sickness, or sleep to regain strength. They are always full of life, worshipping God without getting tired.

They don’t need friends or family to fill an empty heart—though they enjoy fellowship, their deepest joy comes from being with Jesus Himself. They don’t need teachers, because the Lord Himself teaches them directly.

Here on earth, we rely on things—food, clothing, money, friendships, encouragement—to keep us going. But in heaven, everything we need is found in God alone. We will drink directly from the Fountain of Living Water, not from any bucket. We won’t need angels to carry God’s messages, because we will see Him face-to-face.

One day, we will rise above all temporary sources of help and rest fully on God’s power. We will have perfect joy—not because of what God gives, but because of who God is. And that joy will last forever.

Prayer
Lord, thank You for reminding me that You are my true source of life and joy. Teach me to depend less on things and more on You. Help me to live each day with my eyes fixed on You, so that when the time comes, I will be ready for the day when You are all I need. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
