Read Acts 18:10
What an encouragement this is! No matter how lost, sinful, or stubborn people may seem, God has His chosen ones everywhere. Even among those who seem far from Him—drunkards, scoffers, or those who hate holiness—He has people He has already redeemed by Christ’s blood. When we share God’s Word, we do so with the confidence that He has already prepared hearts to receive it. His purposes never fail, and His Son’s sacrifice will not be wasted.
Even before their conversion, Jesus is interceding for them. Their names are engraved on His heart, and the Spirit will eventually move in power so that they cannot resist. God’s chosen will respond in repentance and faith. The “time of figs” may not yet have come, but when it does, the Spirit will work fully, and they will willingly serve Him. The work is sure—God will see His people justified, and His plans fulfilled.
Reflection for Today:Do I trust that God is already at work in the lives of those I reach out to? Am I willing to be His messenger, knowing He will complete what He has begun?
Prayer:Lord, thank You that You have people everywhere waiting to hear Your Word. Help me to faithfully share Your love and truth, trusting that You are already at work in hearts. May Your Spirit prepare them to receive salvation, and may I rejoice in the certainty of Your promises. Amen.
