Read I Thessalonians 4:17
Even the sweetest moments with Jesus on earth are fleeting. One instant we rejoice in His presence, and the next, He seems distant. Like a gentle deer leaping over the hills, He moves beyond our grasp, leaving us longing for more. How wonderful, then, to know that a day is coming when we will never be apart from Him. We will see Him face to face, forever embraced in His glory.
In heaven, there will be no interruptions—no sorrow, no sin, no distractions. We will gaze endlessly upon the Sun of Righteousness, delighting in His beauty and love without interruption. If even a glimpse of Jesus now fills us with joy, how overwhelming will it be to behold Him eternally! To die, then, is to enter into unbroken fellowship with our Savior, where every moment is a celebration of His presence.
Reflection for Today:Am I longing for the eternal joy of being with Jesus, or am I too distracted by the temporary pleasures of this world?
Prayer:Lord Jesus, thank You that one day I will be forever with You. Help me to live with eternity in mind, to treasure every moment with You, and to keep my heart set on the joy that awaits in Your presence. Amen.
