Read Galatians 5:18
When we try to measure ourselves by the law, we can only end up in despair. No one can stand before God as perfect when judged by the law, because no one is without sin. How freeing it is, then, to know that as believers we live under grace, not under the law!
The real question is not, “Am I flawless in myself?” but rather, “Am I made righteous in Christ?” It’s not about whether we are naturally sinless, but whether we’ve been cleansed by the blood of Jesus. It’s not about being pleasing to God in our own strength, but about being accepted in Christ, the Beloved Son.
Too often, we look at our weak faith or our wavering hope and conclude that we cannot possibly be secure. But the truth is, our salvation doesn’t rest on the strength of our faith—it rests on the strength of Christ. Our hope is not based on how firmly we hold on, but on God’s unshakable promises that never fail.
The enemy loves to remind us of our failures and imperfections. But when we stand on the gospel and walk by the Spirit, we find freedom and peace. Instead of living in the chains of guilt and self-condemnation, we are called to live in the liberty of grace. Our identity is secure not because of who we are, but because of who Christ is.
Prayer
Lord, thank You for setting me free from the burden of the law and bringing me into the liberty of Your grace. Help me to fix my eyes on Jesus, not on my own failures. When doubts and accusations come, remind me that I am accepted in Christ, washed clean, and led by the Spirit. Teach me to walk daily in this freedom and never return to the yoke of bondage.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
