Read Colossians 3:4
Paul’s powerful words remind us that Jesus isn’t just part of our life—He is our life.
Without Him, we were spiritually dead, trapped in sin. But when He called us, just like He called Lazarus out of the tomb, we came alive. Every breath of our spiritual life comes from Him.
He is the source of our life—our beginning and our strength. He is the sustainer of our life—feeding our soul with His Word and His presence. Nothing else can satisfy the hunger of our spirit like Jesus can.
He is the joy of our life—our comfort in sorrow, our hope in trials, our reason for living. His love is better than life itself.
He is the goal of our life—we live for Him, aim for Him, and long to be with Him forever. Like a ship sailing toward its harbor, our hearts are set toward His embrace.
And He is the example of our life—we follow His steps, love like He loves, and live as He lived. The more we walk with Him, the more we become like Him.
How safe, blessed, and joyful is the person who can truly say, “Christ is my life.”
Prayer
Lord Jesus, thank You for giving me life when I was dead in sin. Be my source, my strength, my joy, my goal, and my example every day. Teach me to live fully for You and to grow more like You in all I do. You are my life, now and forever. Amen.
