Read Psalms 72:19
This is a big prayer! Praying for one city takes faith, and sometimes even praying for one person can feel overwhelming. But here the psalmist prays for the entire world—every nation, every culture, every person, whether civilized or in the most remote and forgotten places. This prayer leaves no one out.
But we can’t pray this sincerely unless we are willing to also do something to help spread God’s glory. Many say the words but don’t take action. True love for Jesus will make us want the whole world to know Him.
Look at the cross. See Jesus, the Lord of Life, nailed there with thorns on His head and blood flowing from His hands and feet. If you truly believe He died for you and washed away your sins, you won’t be able to keep quiet. Your heart will cry, “Let the whole earth be filled with His glory!”
If we love our King, we will want Him to be King everywhere. Real faith doesn’t just want personal blessings—it longs for the same mercy that saved us to reach the whole world.
If you’ve experienced His grace, you can’t help but pray and work for the world to know Him.
