Read Luke 8:42
Jesus was on His way to help someone in desperate need—the daughter of Jairus, who was dying. But while He was walking there, something unexpected happened: a woman who had been sick for twelve years reached out and touched the edge of His cloak in faith… and was instantly healed.
Jesus didn’t plan a stop. He didn’t call out first. He was simply moving forward—yet healing still flowed from Him.
That’s who Jesus is.
We often need to focus on one task at a time. If we’re rushing to help someone, we rarely pause along the way. But Jesus isn’t limited like we are. He is full of grace—overflowing with enough for every situation, every person, every moment. Like the sun that shines while it moves across the sky, He brings life and light wherever He goes.
He’s like a tree that bears fruit without strain, or a flower that gives off fragrance without effort. His mercy and kindness naturally spill over, even as He walks toward another need.
And that’s incredibly encouraging.
If Jesus is this full of mercy, why hesitate to reach out to Him? If His power flows so freely, why not place yourself in His path—through prayer, through His Word, through quiet moments of faith?
He sees. He notices. He responds—not only when we make big, desperate cries for help, but even when we whisper in trust.
So today—wherever you are, however weak or worn you feel—draw near to Jesus. Believe that His power still flows, even in the “on the way” moments. He works while He walks.
