Read 2 Peter 1:4
God has made some very big and special promises to us in the Bible. These are not just nice words—they are treasures that can change our lives.
But to really feel how amazing God’s promises are, we need to think about them. When we keep thinking about what God has promised—like how He said He’ll never leave us or that He’ll give us peace—we start to feel those promises becoming real in our hearts.
It’s kind of like grapes. Grapes look nice, but if you press them, you get juice. In the same way, if we really think deeply about God’s promises, we get something sweet from them—hope, peace, joy, and strength.
Also, when you read a promise from the Bible, remind yourself: This is God speaking to me. God isn’t like people who might break their word. God never lies. He never changes His mind. He’s powerful enough to do anything, and He knows the best time to give us what we need.
So instead of thinking, “Wow, this promise is too big,” think, “Wow, the One who made this promise is BIGGER!”
If we remember who God is—and keep His promises close to our hearts—we’ll see them come true in our lives, right when we need them.
